Hand Sanitizer Calculator
Thank you, for taking the time and the extra effort to making your community a safer place.
The calculator below is a tool to help aide you in calculating the necessary materials to produce hand sanitizer.
All alcohol content is presumed to be calibrated to either 60℉ (imperial) or 20℃ (metric).
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1
Sterilize ALL Water: ALL Water used in adjusting your ethanol or hydrogen peroxide must be sterile. This can be acheived by either boiling, by distillation or using RO water.
Step 2
Dilute Hydrogn Peroxide: If you purchase your Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) greater than a 3% solution then you will need to dilute it with sterile water. Using the calculator above you can enter your starting percentage (E.G. 35%) and you'll receive the required amount of H2O2 at your starting percentage solution and the required amount of water to blend to obtain a 3% solution.
Step 3
Add Hydrogn Peroxide: Measure out your Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) percisely to the results from the calculator above. Then add the 0 Pounds (>0 Gallons) of the 3% H2O2 solution to the 0 Pounds (0 Gallons) of Ethanol base.
Step 4
Add Glycerol: No Glycerol needed since you selected 0% Glycerol Concentration
Step 5
Water: Now blend your water amount of 0 Pounds (0 Gallons) to completely proof down your finished product to your target of 80 % ABV
